Editor’s Note: Here at Dispatches, we are always looking for ways to help our readers do things. For some of our readers, that means helping navigate the working world, for others, it means assisting in the ever challenging question, what’s for dinner?” For still others, it means figuring out how to balance family life with everything else. In an effort to aid in all of these endeavors, we have collaborated on this article written specifically for our readers.

Don’t be afraid to dream big. You might think as a solopreneur or small business you are too small to create an app or streamline data integration, but you would be wrong. Businesses like Adworkz work with businesses of all sizes.

Don’t just dream big, make sure there’s a good why behind the big dreams.

If you don’t already have a value statement (think the why behind the business), consider writing one. Keep it brief and memorable. In a perfect world, it would be limited to 10 words or less. Then make your value statement public.

According to this article in the Harvard Business Review, 64 percent of customers have a relationship with a brand based on shared values. If you have taken the steps to update and modernize your brand or gone through a rebranding, make sure you convey the reasons and values behind your business.

People do business with people and are often looking for like-minded individuals. By putting the values of your company on your website and if appropriate in your marketing materials, you may attract more loyal customers.
