I was recently visiting a middle school classroom and noticed this list above the timeout chair. The teacher said she is not so subtly trying to tell her students that the behaviors they are getting into trouble for in her classroom, would likely get them fired int real life. Some of the behaviors would mean a quick exit.
She said she posted the list after hearing too many complaints of, that’s not fair and grown-ups don’t have to follow those rules. The teacher reiterated that she hopes by holding students accountable now, they’ll face less problems in the working world.
