Field Trip!

I’ve said it before and I am sure I will say it again, it is the little things that make the biggest difference.

Our office needed a book for a project. Not just any book, the Polar Express (quite possibly one of the best holiday books of all time). Originally, it was suggested that we go to the nearest Barnes and Noble and buy it, but if we did that, it wouldn’t have the well-loved pages that make books like the Polar Express special and is a critical part of the project. So instead (here’s the best part!) our whole department got to go to the library to get the book!

Remember in school, how great it was to go on a field trip? How even the museum you’ve been to a million times is so much more exciting because you’re going during the school day with all your friends? The same is true of an office field trip. It was just as wonderful.

So the next time a co-worker invites you along for a cup of coffee, go!
